Jack Herer (USA, 1939-2010) was the author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes (among other books) and tireless activist for cannabis and hemp. His conviction that the only thing holding back hemp in America is ignorance fuelled his crusade to raise awareness across the United States and beyond.
Jack Herer's books have been translated into several languages and he traveled almost constantly, despite periods of ill-health, speaking at conferences and seminars all across Europe and his homeland.
Twice nominated for the Presidency of the U.S., Jack Herer is also the only person to have been inducted into the Counter Culture Hall of Fame (in 2003) and to have been presented with a Cannabis Culture Award.
Herer writes in the introduction of his famous publication: “Finally, I hope that this book helps everyone understand the true nature of cannabis hemp and that you, dear reader, decide to become active in the effort to end this crime against man and nature: marijuana prohibition.
